Live Casino Hold’em Rules

Hand Rankings

Live Casino Hold'em is a variation of five-card poker, whereby the aim of the game is to construct the best possible hand from a combination of the two cards given to you by the dealer and the 5 card flop. You are challenging the dealer only and at each stage, your best hand will be shown automatically.

  • Live Casino Hold’em uses an ante bet in order to build up the pot before play.
  • The live dealer needs to have the minimum of a pair of 4s in order to qualify for play. If the live dealer qualifies and you win, you're ante bet pays in accordance with the paytable (see below), whilst your call bet pays even money. If you beat the live dealer but he/she fails to qualify, your call bet will be returned and you will receive a payout on the Ante bet in accordance with the table.
  • Hand rankings (best to worst) are as follows: Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pairs, One Pair, High Card.
  • If both you and the live dealer have equal hands, the highest value card/grouping/flush/ determines the winner (i.e. Three Kings beats Three Queens; a flush of A, 6, 5, 4, 3 beats a flush of K, J, 10, 8, 7).
  • The Ace functions as a semi-wildcard; it can be the highest-value card in a straight (A, K, Q, J, 10) or the lowest-value card in a straight (5, 4, 3, 2, A).

There are 2 betting options available to the player in Live Casino Hold’em:

  1. Call: challenge the dealer and have the remaining Flop cards dealt in your attempt to obtain a winning 5-card Poker hand.
  2. Fold: forfeit your bets and watch the game outcome via the video stream.

  2. You now have the option of placing an AA side bet, which bets on the chance of the cards dealt containing 2 Aces or higher. Place this bet by clicking on the AA circle on the table and then on “Confirm Bets.”
  3. Both you and the live dealer will be dealt 2 cards. Your cards will appear face up whilst the live dealer’s will appear face down. A further 3 cards are dealt – they are called the “Flop.” Based on the strength of their hand thus far, players must choose to either fold (forfeit their bet) or Call (place a further bet worth twice the Ante bet).
