Live Blackjack Rules
The aim of Blackjack is to challenge the dealer to create a hand as close to 21 as possible without going bust. Aces are valued at either 1 or 11 with face cards valued at 10 and number cards retaining their face value.
A player who succeeds in obtaining an ace and a ten-value card as their initial two cards has "Blackjack" and is rewarded with 1.5 times the value of their bet. Blackjack defeats a hand worth 21. If player's hand is nearer to a value of 21 than the dealer's, the player is rewarded with the value of their bet. If the total exceeds 21, the player is declared "bust" and loses their bet. If both the player and dealer have equal hands, then the bet is restored to the player in a "push".
5 options are available to the player:
- Hit - Collect an additional card from the dealer
- Stand - Stay as you are without receiving additional cards
- Split - If your two cards are equal, you can choose to divide them into two distinct hands by making a second bet equal in value to your first. You can then draw additional cards to each of your separate hands.
- Double - Double your bet after receiving your first two hands if you are confident in your chances of beating the dealer.
- Insurance -Insure your bet against the dealer obtaining blackjack if he shows an Ace in his starting hand. An amount worth half your original bet will be positioned on the table. If the dealer turns out to have Blackjack, you collect 2 to 1 on insurance.

Remember that only cards already on the table prior to disconnection will be carried over. If you succeed in rejoining before the completion of the round, you will be able to resume play as normal with the regular amount of time to consider your move.
